Houston Children’s Charity has three thriving programs during the Holiday Season. Through our Adopt-A-Family, Annual Christmas Party and a Toy Distribution we help thousands of needy families in and around the Greater Houston area.
The Adopt-A-Family program has grown tremendously due to the support of the Houston community. In 2013, the program saw a 70% increase in sponsors.
During our Annual Children’s Christmas Party, at the Hyatt Regency Houston, over 650 children and their families are treated to food, toys, goodies, entertainment and of course the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Our Toy Distribution has grown over the past 5 years in great part, due to the United States Marines “Toys for Tots” program. Houston First Corporation’s donation of 125,000 square feet at the George R. Brown Convention Center increased our ability to assist more and more children.

The children all anticipate
This special time of year
When families are gathering
To bring great Christmas Cheer
In Houston at the Hyatt
You’ll find those special elves
Who work each day throughout the year
To gather toys from shelves
The Christmas lists were early made
So Santa was aware
What each and every single heart
At Christmas needs to share
And too Marines were gathering
Great love from Houston town
Balls and bikes and gifts and games
So much these soldiers found
From every nook and cranny
From friends and neighbors too
The “Toys for Tots” would once again
Help children’s dreams come true
Cause every year at Christmas
Those folks now most in need
Do call upon their special friends
Who always plant the seed
Of happiness and dreams fulfilled
Through many volunteers
They bring a special warmth and love
To wipe away the tears
So come and visit everyone
